Rangers extend K’Andre Miller’s contract for two more seasons

(New York) The New York Rangers have extended the contract of defenseman and restricted free agent K’Andre Miller for two seasons.


Aged 23, Miller will receive 7.7 million US.

General manager Chris Drury made the announcement on Tuesday.

Miller has been a mainstay on defense since joining the Rangers in 2020-21. Last year, he set career highs with nine goals, 34 assists and 43 points, ranking second in scoring among Blue Shirts defensemen. He also played a key role on special teams, logging 149 minutes on the ice as the Rangers were one man short.

The American from St. Paul, Minnesota was a first-round pick, 22e overall in 2018. He has 21 goals, 54 assists and a plus-44 rating in 214 NHL games, all with the Rangers.
