Among the collateral victims of the pandemic, there are these albums that have appeared and then disappeared without it appearing. What to do to recover? An expanded edition, hey: so we get eight more tracks here than on the album a year ago. Content almost doubled, palette widened by as much. The tandem that makes up Birds on a Wire (Rosemary Standley, of the Moriarty group, and singer cellist Dom La Nena) takes the exploration of melodies and cultures one step further. When we call ourselves the title of a song by Cohen, we are not afraid of anything: they were already harmonizing in French, English, Portuguese, Catalan and Breton, taking up Brel in the same spirit as 19th century poemse century. Here they are, marrying their vertiginously spaced registers at Pink Floyd (exquisite Wish You Were Here) as well as with the Beatles (lascivious Within You Without You). Confinement or not, this time will be the good one.
