(Paris) Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo assured that the attack on high-speed rail lines would have “no impact on the ceremony” opening the Olympic Games on Friday evening, “because it has no consequences on the transport network” in the Paris region.
“This is sabotage,” the mayor said in Spanish to the press, after a meeting with the King of Spain, Felipe VI. “What happened is unacceptable, but it will not have an impact on tonight’s ceremony, because it has no consequences on the transport network in the Île-de-France region,” she added.
