A young station
The popular music radio station was launched in the summer of 2020 after the acquisition of the Radio-Classique Montréal station by the family business Leclerc Communication Inc. At the time, the latter already owned a few radio stations in Quebec City such as WKND 91.9 and BLVD 102.1.
“A true standard-bearer for innovative sound and format [Leclerc Communication inc.] continues to revolutionize the radio landscape in the province,” we can read on the WKND 99.5 website.
She describes her musical offering as “avant-garde” composed of the latest pop-rock, alternative and indie rock.
