Radio-Canada: the union and the employer reach a tentative agreement

A tentative agreement has been reached between CBC/Radio-Canada and the union of employees affiliated with the CSN, while the collective agreement expired on October 15, 2021.

In a brief press release, the negotiating committees of the two parties announced on Monday the conclusion of an agreement in principle after “approximately 75 negotiation meetings”, thus avoiding a possible labor dispute.

“Radio-Canada and the Union are aware of the importance of maintaining an open and constructive dialogue during the agreement and can already maintain that the progress of the next agreement will be conducive to the establishment of a continuity of dialogue which will has been established for a year”, indicated the employer and union parties.

The Union of Radio-Canada Workers (STTRC) and the employer have agreed to unveil soon “the terms of the agreement in principle to allow the union authorities to decide on this agreement”, it was added. .
