Radio-Canada | Filming begins on a new New Brunswick television series

Radio-Canada announced Monday the start of filming for its new television series set in New Brunswick.


The detective miniseries Mont-Rouge was written by Pierre-Marc Drouin and is produced by Jim Donovan, the duo who had already given Radio-Canada another New Brunswick miniseries, Headquartersbroadcast in 2017.

Mont-Rouge stars New Brunswick actress Karène Chiasson, who already played in The seat, and Quebecer Normand Daneau. The cast includes Monique Spaziani and Frank Schorpion, but also several actors and actresses from New Brunswick, such as Christian Essiambre.

“Manon Daigle (Karene Chiasson), respected local patrolwoman, is paired with Luc Doiron (Normand Daneau), homicide detective sergeant, originally from Montreal and based in Moncton, to try to shed light” on a dark murder case in Mont -Red, splendid village, fictional, from New Brunswick, indicates the production.

The detective miniseries of six 60-minute episodes will be shown on the ICI TOU.TV EXTRA platform in spring 2024, then on ICI TÉLÉ “during the 2024-2025 season”.
