Radio audiences: France Inter still dominates, Virgin Radio and Europe 1 at their lowest

The radio audiences have fallen! This Thursday, November 17, 2022, Médiamétrie unveiled those for the September-October 2022 period. And, not surprisingly, it is once again France Inter which dominates the ranking of these new results.

It’s a place to which the station is accustomed, but we imagine that the pleasure is still just as strong when discovering the radio audiences. France Inter is still the most listened to station thanks to its 6.8 million listeners. There are 260,000 more curious people in one year, which allows him to record a historic start to the season with an audience share of 13.5%.

RTL follows with 5.5 million listeners. It has thus lost more than 350,000 people in one year. Despite everything, the station can console itself with an increased market share of 12.9% (ie 0.9 points). And it is FranceInfo which completes the podium with 4.79 million listeners, a drop of only 115,000 people. RMC has nothing to be ashamed of since it has managed to increase with 3.2 million listeners daily, ie 150,000 more than last year.

The NRJ music station can boast of being listened to by 4.38 million people. The station is therefore progressing slightly in market share (+0.2 points, or 6.4% of the public). France Bleu, on the other hand, was overtaken by Skyrock with a loss of 564,000 listeners and a decline of 1.1 points in its market share.

Bad news also on the side of Europe 1 which fails to raise the bar. The station is again at an all-time low. It fell below the two million mark and therefore lost 400,000 listeners in one year. On the other hand, France Culture progressed with 141,000 additional listeners and thus moved ahead of Chérie FM and Virgin Radio. The latter achieves its worst result since it only has 1.4 million fans.
