Faced with these accusations, the companion of Juju Fitcats defended himself by replying: “How racist is it to display the French flag? You have to be proud of your country, its history and its culture. Even if France is not perfect and there are still plenty of things to improve, you should not be ashamed of being French.”

That’s not all since Thibaud Delapart of his real name published a video on TikTok with generally the same words “I don’t understand why in France people are ashamed of the French flag. Look at the USA, the American flag is everywhere. There is no shame in being proud to be French. There is no shame in showing off with the French flag. And for all those who don’t like France, no one is holding you back, go see elsewhere how things are going and I can assure you that you will soon come back to France.“

While some have also defended him, others have gone so far as to unearth screenshots of messages with racist and homophobic connotations dating from when the influencer was a student.
