Friday June 3, the second day of the Queen’s Jubilee was Mark by a mass in which Elizabeth II did not participate. Will the English have the opportunity to see her again during the two remaining days of the celebrations? Matthieu Boisseau delivers some answers in duplex from London.
It was a very noticeable absence. Queen Elizabeth II was not at the mass given in her honor at Saint Paul’s Cathedral on Friday, June 3. Pretexting a fatigue of the sovereign, Buckingham Palace have made it known that they will also not be attending the race Epsom horse racing planned Saturday June 4. Speculation is therefore rife and the English are wondering if they will have the opportunity to see the queen again before the end of the festivities, scheduled for Sunday, June 5.
If the queen had to cancel two participations in events, she can theoretically participate in three more planned celebrations. The first is the big concert given in his honor on Saturday evening June 4th. It would also be possible to see it during the neighbor parties organized on Sunday June 5th. Finally, the great artistic parade is the last celebration she could attend, even if for the moment nothing is certain as to her presence.
