The Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity, Jean Boulet, said at a press conference on Saturday that this investment will be used to improve and expand the offer of community organizations, in order to help them accomplish their mission.

The plan includes $888.1 million earmarked for increased government funding to support the overall mission of community organizations, while $186.8 million will be used to improve working conditions, staff training and Human Resource Management.

Since community organizations are not spared from the labor shortage, Minister Boulet promised that incentives to work or volunteer with an organization will be put in place.

The entire machinery of government will be called upon to ensure the implementation of the plan. Thus, 23 government departments and agencies will pitch in to accomplish the 29 measures.

The plan is based on four axes: improving the ability of community organizations to act, encouraging the mobilization of all partners, ensuring greater consistency in the actions of community action partners and developing knowledge of action. community, while valuing its contribution to collective well-being.
