Quebec unveils a new education dashboard

After the famous dashboard in the health network, Quebec unveils on Monday a new platform allowing certain data to be monitored in the education sector.

The Minister of Education, Bernard Drainville, underlines in a press release that this new dashboard will allow network stakeholders to access “relevant and reliable information at the right time”.

He suggests this data will also help make the ministry “more efficient”.

The table includes nine indicators, including the graduation rates at different levels, the results of the fourth and fifth secondary ministerial exams and, a data which caused a lot of talk at the start of the school year, the positions available in the network.

Another data that will be closely monitored: the quality of the air in schools.

Current statistics show that the secondary school graduation and qualification rate is 84.2% in 2022-2023, an increase of 0.1 percentage point since the previous year.

Furthermore, there were 1,094 positions available in the education sector, according to data dating from mid-January.

In terms of air quality, 92.6% of classes were found in the CO concentration range.2 desirable in December.
