Quebec | The SQ is investigating after the discovery of a white substance in an SAQ Dépôt

The National Squad for the Repression of Organized Crime (ENERCO) of the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is conducting an investigation after the discovery of a significant quantity of a white substance at the SAQ Dépôt in Quebec, on Einstein Street.


Early Friday morning, the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) received a call concerning bags filled with possible narcotics discovered by employees in the merchandise of the SAQ Dépôt.

“A significant quantity of white substance was discovered in containers during unloading in the secure courtyard of the commercial establishment,” said SQ spokesperson Hélène St-Pierre.

ENERCO investigators “took responsibility for the file given the large quantity that was found,” underlined the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.

This substance will be analyzed in the laboratory and several people must be met by the police.
