However, one may wonder whether this opinion is shared by the Quebec film and television series industry. Indeed, we can notice that we very often choose a song in English to accompany an emotional scene to the detriment of the French-speaking Quebec song. As if expressing emotions is so much truer, fairer and more credible in English than in French.

It is heartbreaking to see an industry like the cinema and television series go out of their way to present a quality product to encourage us to “buy local” and at the same time choose songs in English to a very large extent.

Not only does the fact of incorporating Quebec songs shine a little more on the Francophone culture of our region, it also makes it possible to make known its singers.
