The number of hospitalizations related to COVID-19 has decreased in Quebec.
According to raw data published on Saturday by the Ministry of Health, the number of patients in hospitals due to the coronavirus rose from 2,410 to 2,371. There are 89 people in intensive care, one more than the day before.
Six new deaths have been added to the death toll, according to the raw data.
The Ministry of Health also reports 1,186 new cases since the previous assessment. As for the number of active cases, it would amount to 26,718. The number of cases listed is not representative of the situation, however, since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.
The vaccintrackerqc.ca site, which tracks the progress of the vaccination campaign in Quebec daily, reports that 36,206 doses have been administered over the past 24 hours.
The percentage of people aged 5 and over who received a first dose is still around 91.37%. It is also reported that approximately 87.57% of the Quebec population received a second dose and that approximately 58.62% received a booster dose.
