Quebec reports a drop of 54 hospitalizations linked to COVID-19

Quebec deplores Friday 18 new deaths related to COVID-19, while the downward trend in hospitalizations continues.

In its daily report, the Ministry of Health reports 1,918 hospitalizations, including 639 due to the virus, a decrease of 54 compared to the previous day.

Quebec also reports 41 people in intensive care, including 24 due to COVID-19, down three.

The number of healthcare workers absent in connection with the pandemic has also slightly decreased, with 3,901 people being kept away from the network.

The death toll stands at 16,324 since the start of the pandemic.

The province also reports 749 new cases of COVID-19, but this number is far from representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to priority groups.

On the vaccination side, 22,946 more doses were administered in Quebec.
