Quebec reports 718 new cases of COVID-19, but no more deaths

Quebec is reporting 718 new cases of COVID-19 and no additional deaths linked to the disease.

Of the new cases, 431 were people who had not been vaccinated or received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 17 had only received a single dose at least 14 days ago, and 270 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

The province’s death toll is now 436,084 people infected and 11,548 deaths since the start of the pandemic.

195 hospitalizations were reported on Wednesday, a drop of five compared to the day before. Of these patients, 47 people are in intensive care, the same number as Tuesday.

Fifteen people entered hospital due to COVID-19 on Tuesday. Nine were unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago and six had received a second dose at least seven days ago. The four people who entered intensive care on Tuesday were either unvaccinated or had only received a single dose less than 14 days ago.

A total of 31,626 samples were taken on November 15.

As for vaccination, 8,413 doses have been administered in Quebec in the last 24 hours.

According to the National Institute of Public Health of Quebec, 79.6% of the population has received at least one dose of vaccine against COVID-19. Among those 12 years and older, 90.9% have received at least one dose and 88.5% are adequately vaccinated.
