Quebec reports 634 new cases and four additional deaths

Quebec reports 634 new cases of COVID-19 and four additional deaths on Sunday.

Of the new cases, 387 were people who had not been vaccinated or received a single dose less than 14 days ago, 16 had only received a single dose at least 14 days ago, and 231 had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

189 hospitalizations were reported on Sunday, nine less than on Saturday. Of these patients, 42 are in intensive care, two fewer than the day before.

Six people entered the hospital on Saturday. Four of them were unvaccinated or had only received one dose less than 14 days ago and the other two had received a second dose at least seven days ago.

Regarding vaccination, 2,291 first doses and 4,166 second doses were administered in Quebec in the last 24 hours.

Among those 12 years and older, 91% have received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine and 87% are adequately immunized.
