Hospitalizations linked to COVID-19 continue to climb and go back above the 1900 mark, according to the latest report from Quebec authorities.
The Department of Health and Human Services reported 1,946 people in hospital on Wednesday, an increase of 70 from the previous day. Of these patients, 600 had been admitted to hospital due to illness.
In intensive care, the number of patients remains stable according to government data, for a total of 51 people, including 24 who were treated specifically for the disease.
The death toll has also increased in the province. Quebec has recorded 27 new deaths. Only one occurred within the last 24 hours, while the others occurred between the last two and seven days or more than a week ago.
