Health authorities reported 1,568 hospitalizations on Friday, including 510 due to COVID-19 in Quebec, an increase of 19 from the previous day. Among these, 40 patients are in intensive care, 15 of them because of the virus, 4 more than the day before.
Quebec also reports 10 additional deaths linked to the disease, but none in the last 24 hours, and officially lists 823 new cases of COVID-19.
Since the start of the pandemic, 1,194,787 infections have been reported, and 16,727 of them have been fatal.
