Quebec-Lévis Tunnel | No study on the project, admits Legault

(Montreal) The four-lane highway tunnel project between Quebec and Lévis is not based on any study, acknowledged François Legault on Friday. Analyzes are still in progress and would be ready in the next year, according to him.

The CAQ leader made this astonishing revelation at a press conference, when he was reminded of the studies concerning the third link, which he still refuses to make public.

“The studies that had been done were the studies that had been requested by the Liberals that weren’t talking about a four-lane downtown to downtown tunnel,” he explained.

“We have not studied, there is no study that takes the four-lane tunnel project, including two lanes for public transport. There are none. The Legault government presented this new version of its tunnel project earlier this year. “We hope in the next year to have the results of all the studies,” he said.

“They are doing them, the studies. We are not starting from zero, we are moving forward. »

Called to comment on the absence of a study to defend the third link, Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois, of Quebec solidaire, showed little surprise on Friday. “It’s a DIY project, so it doesn’t surprise me at all,” he said.
