Quebec has no new deaths attributed to COVID-19

Quebec reported no new deaths attributed to COVID-19 on Monday. The number of illness-related hospitalizations fell by five from Sunday, but the number of intensive care patients rose by four.

There are now 1,177 hospitalizations, while 33 people are in intensive care.

A total of 3,680 health care workers were absent for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal or isolation.

The death toll now stands at 15,412.

The Ministry of Health reports 350 new cases, for a total of 1,065,682 since the start of the pandemic. However, the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centers is restricted to certain priority groups.

A total of 213,337 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 174,909 positives. For the day on Sunday, 185 tests were declared, including 152 positive.

The Ministry of Health indicates that it carried out 7,866 analyzes on Sunday, for a positivity rate of 6.1%.

In terms of vaccination, 3077 doses administered were added, ie 3044 in the last 24 hours and 33 before May 29.

Among Quebecers aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 55% received a third dose and 14% received a fourth dose. Among those aged 60 and over, 42% received a fourth dose.
