(Montreal) SPORTSQUÉBEC is pleased to announce that as part of the preliminary phase of the selection process for the host community of the 62e Final of the 2028 Quebec Winter Games, the City of Victoriaville has confirmed its interest in hosting the event. This municipality submitted the required documentation before the May 8 deadline and is therefore officially a candidate environment.
“SPORTSQUÉBEC is delighted to have received the application from the City of Victoriaville to become the host community for the 62e Final of the Quebec Games – Winter 2028,” mentioned Isabelle Ducharme, general director of the organization. “Having completed the application process to receive the 60e Quebec Games Final – Winter 2026 and obtained a very good result, we are convinced that Victoriaville will be able to present an excellent candidacy for the 2028 Final and are enthusiastic about the idea of collaborating with them over the coming months.”
Although Victoriaville was recently in the running to host the 2026 Final, it will still have to complete a selection process in order to host the 62e Final of the Quebec Games in winter 2028. It is however possible that the process will be adapted to take into account the work already carried out by the City of Victoriaville in recent months. The announcement of the host environment of the 62e Final of the Quebec Games – Winter 2028 will be made in the coming months.

For more than 53 years now, the Quebec Games program has supported young Quebec athletes and remains an important step in their sporting development. The Quebec Games Finale is a multi-sport event that brings together a large community. Indeed, each edition welcomes nearly 3,000 athletes representing 19 regions of Quebec, 1,200 officials and missionaries who supervise them, as well as 2,500 volunteers who contribute to the success of this event. The Quebec Games Finals offer a healthy, unique and stimulating environment for our next generation of athletes so that they can flourish and excel in their sport in complete safety.
