Two days after being arrested, anti-vaccine activist François Amalega Bitondo was reportedly intercepted again by the police on Sunday, in Trois-Rivières, where the Coalition Avenir Quebec (CAQ) congress was taking place.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) confirms the arrest of a 43-year-old man near the Trois-Rivières Interactive Events and Convention Center (CECI), where Prime Minister François Legault was located, as part of the congress of his party.
Police officers from the City of Trois-Rivières intercepted the man when he was demonstrating.

Several images are circulating on social networks, where we see François Amalega Bitondo being arrested and brought into a police vehicle. Opponents of health measures can be heard in the videos of the intervention shouting encouragement to the anti-vaccine activist, and insulting the police.
On Friday, Mr. Amalega Bitondo was arrested in Shawinigan for trying to disrupt an event by the Premier of Quebec. The man has already accumulated more than $ 40,000 in tickets related to non-compliance with sanitary measures.
In October, the anti-vaccine activist was found guilty of obstructing the work of the police after a trial in which he refused to wear his mask. He was incarcerated for seven days, and was forced to keep the peace for a year.
