Quebec design rewarded at the IDA Awards

Three Quebec firms caught the attention of the jury of the 15and edition of the International Design Awards (IDA), a competition that annually celebrates innovation in architecture, fashion, graphics and interior design.

In the Architecture-Renovation category, Lemay won the Gold award for its renovation of the Grand Théâtre de Québec, whose glass envelope now protects the original building.

NEUF architect(e)s and Atelier TAG occupy the 2and place in the Architecture-Institutional Building category for the Donalda-Charron Library in Gatineau. This Silver award is in addition to several other awards and mentions received by the consortium for this same project.

Another achievement in the running is the Flora collection from Quebec faucet maker Baril, which won a Silver award in the Products category. This honor is in addition to a Platinum mention received at the ADEX awards – Awards for Design Excellence.
