Quebec deplores four new deaths attributed to COVID-19

Quebec reports four new deaths attributed to COVID-19 on Monday, for a total of 15,876 since the start of the pandemic.

The Ministry of Health also reports 1,224 new cases, for a total of 1,138,880. The number of cases listed is not representative of the situation, however, since access to screening centers is restricted to priority clienteles.

In all, 263,237 rapid tests have been self-reported so far on the government platform, including 219,744 positives. For the day on Sunday, 403 tests were declared, including 347 positive.

As for health care workers, there are 6,418 absentees for reasons related to COVID-19, such as preventive withdrawal and isolation.

Data on hospitalizations and intensive care are no longer counted on weekends.

The Ministry of Health indicates that 10,910 analyzes were carried out on Sunday and that the positivity rate is 13.3%.

Among those aged 5 and over, 91% received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, 56% received a third dose and 17% obtained a fourth dose. Among those aged 60 and over, 50% went for a fourth dose.
