Quebec cinema | Telefilm Canada finances 22 Quebec feature films

Telefilm Canada announced Thursday funding of $21.6 million for the production of 22 feature films intended for the French-speaking market.


Among these feature films which will benefit from financial support is LiarFollowing Liar (2019), by Émile Gaudreault, which had accumulated more than 6.2 million at the box office. Anne-Élisabeth Bossé and Antoine Bertrand reprise the roles they played in the first part, that is to say the sister-in-law and twin brother of the character played by Louis-José Houde. The director will once again write the screenplay with Éric K. Boulianne and Sébastien Ravary. Liar should be on display in the summer of 2025.

The hero’s outfitdrama by Léa Pool (Hotel Silence), will also receive support from Telefilm Canada. Finally, let us mention that Violencedrama written and directed by Luc Picard (Confessions), Small rosedrama written and directed by Geneviève Dulude-Decelles (A colony), And Adamcomedy written and directed by Anne Émond (Lucy Grizzly Sophie), also received the green light from Telefilm Canada.
