Top Gun: Maverick topped the charts for a second straight week. The 1980s action-drama sequel starring Tom Cruise raked in $1,218,184 from Friday to Sunday. The Hollywood blockbuster was presented on 209 screens, compared to 33 for Baby sitter. This performance allows Top Gun: Maverick to display a total of $3,500,000.
The most recent part of Doctor Strange appears at 2e echelon of the charts with $162,115. The animated feature film The Bad Guys (The villains) completes the podium with $73,151.
Creepy comedy adapted from a play of the same title by Catherine Léger, Baby sitter is one of only two new releases to crack the top 10 this weekend. The other is Crimes of the Future (The crimes of the future) by Canadian director David Cronenberg, which appears in 9e position with $26,571.
The box office is reborn this spring. In total, revenues approaching $2,500,000 have been recorded over the past three days. This is an increase of 242% compared to the same weekend last year.
