Quebec booksellers have made their choice. They rewarded the best children’s books of the last year during a ceremony at the Cultural and Community Center of Montreal-North on Wednesday.
The 2024 Youth Booksellers Awards were awarded to four Quebec titles and four titles outside Quebec.

For 0 to 5 year olds, these are the albums In Amédée’s shoeswritten by Véronique Lambert and illustrated by Éléna Comte, as well as Knight Owlby Christopher Denise, who were awarded.
Mina and her beastby Caroline Merola, and the first volume of the series The thirteen witchesby Jodi Lynn Anderson, stood out in the 6 to 11 year old category.
Finally, the collective of authors behind My first time: collection of sexual short storiesand Jewell Parker Rhodes, with his novel Black brother, black brotherare the winners in the 12 to 17 year old category.
