(Quebec) A 19-year-old young woman was found dead while a teenager suffered serious injuries early Thursday night in a residence in the Limoilou district, in eastern Quebec.
At daybreak, the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ) reported that medical authorities feared that the 16-year-old would not survive.
No arrests have been announced.
The SPVQ explains that police officers were called to intervene in a residence on rue Geneviève-Lamarre, in the Maizerets sector of Limoilou.
While carrying out checks inside the residence, they found two victims who displayed signs of violence. The young woman was pronounced dead on site.
The SPVQ delegated investigators from the Major Crimes Module. Forensic identification technicians were also deployed to comb through the crime scene.
A mobile SPVQ command post was also sent to the scene. The police invite anyone who has information on this case to go there to pass it on to investigators, or to call the 911 emergency telephone center.
