VALENTINE’S DAY SUGAR QUARTET

A recipe that brings together all the necessary ingredients for a great Valentine’s Day! Quartet composed of chocolate, oats, ginger and banana to delight the taste buds and… (perhaps?) aphrodisiac virtues!

The preparations can be made in advance and kept cool in separate airtight containers then take them out of the fridge at least ½ hour before assembly, which should only be done at the last moment.

*Milk can be substituted with water or soy or oat or other milk.

** grated fresh ginger can be replaced by powdered ginger.

Per person :

1 tbsp rolled oats

1 tbsp of milk (or more)*

10 g of dark baking chocolate squares (1 bar) + 1 tbsp of liquid coffee

1 tsp fresh cream

½ tsp grated fresh ginger** (or °)

½ banana (or more)

1 tbsp lemon juice (or more)

For the decoration, zest of 1/2 lemon + ½ tsp grated fresh ginger**

Soak oats and milk. To book. In a saucepan over very low heat, stirring constantly, melt the chocolate with the coffee. Then add the fresh cream and mix well. Mix the still hot chocolate with the oat flakes until you obtain a “thick soup”, then add the ginger and mix well. To book. Peel the banana, cut it into pieces, add the lemon juice and mix.

Just before serving, in a plate or a ramekin, pour the flakes/chocolate preparation, in the center distribute the banana. Decorate with ginger and zest and serve. Beautiful cuisine and happy Valentine’s Day to all, Régine
