The Qualinet company, which has launched an alarm cry to fill “urgently” nearly 1,000 worker positions mainly assigned to the disinfection of sites in the health network and essential businesses, is still recruiting.
In a few days, Qualinet has been able to fill nearly 400 positions across Quebec out of a possible 938, since December 24.
“There are still 538 positions to fill in total. We are satisfied with the public’s response, but we definitely want more. During the holiday season, people responded in large numbers and that gave us a hand, ”said Roger Vigneault, Director of Operations.
Disinfection
According to him, the demand comes mainly from health establishments, residences for the elderly, schools and businesses offering essential services and which have needs to be met in terms of disinfection activities.
“Demand has exploded. It doesn’t stop. So far, we have been able to serve all of our customers. Things are going well on that side, but with the cases which are only increasing, we do not have the choice to predict, ”he added.
Qualinet therefore reiterates its call to all available people in Quebec, including students on leave and retirees, to work to urgently combat the Omicron variant.
Advantageous salary
Applicants must have obtained two doses of the vaccine.
“These are very attractive salaries that will hover around $ 23 an hour,” said Mr. Vigneault.
With overtime, the hourly rate can go up to $ 35, he says.
