On a counterattack, Nathan Gaucher tried to reach Malatesta in front of the net, but the puck hit goaltender Olivier Ciarlo. Malatesta picked up the puck, however, and it spun around before sliding it into the back of the net.

The 14the Malatesta’s campaign goal allowed the Remparts to sign a 12e consecutive victory. Patrick Roy’s men have not lost in 11 outings at the Videotron Center this season.

Zachary Bolduc also hit the target for the Remparts, who sit atop the QMJHL standings. Thanks to an assist, Théo Rochette obtained at least one point in an 11e game in a row.

In his third game of the campaign, Philippe Cloutier remained undefeated with the Quebec squad. He repelled 19 shots.

Alex-Antoine Yargeau scored his first career QMJHL goal, allowing the Drakkar to tie the match with less than six minutes remaining.

Ciarlo had a strong game blocking 36 pucks for the Drakkar, which lost for the third straight time.

Bolduc opened the scoring with 74 seconds left in the second period, following a turnover at the Drakkar’s blue line.

After accepting a pass from Rochette, the St. Louis Blues first-round pick was patient and waited for Ciarlo to be down on the ice before cheating on him with a backhand shot.

Yargeau brought both teams back to square one on a three-on-two climb. He slipped between the Remparts players and redirected a precise pass from Vincent Collard behind Cloutier.
