(Val-D’or) Charles Savoie and Vsevolod Komarov alternately threaded the needle and the Quebec Remparts once again defeated the Val-d’Or Foreurs 5-3 on Sunday.
Savoie broke the deadlock midway through the third period in a 4-2 win for the Remparts against the Foreurs on Friday, but this time tied the game with his seventh goal of the campaign.
Komarov scored the winning goal just 79 seconds later, when his wrist shot deceived the vigilance of Mathys Fernandez on the blocker’s side.
Pier-Olivier Roy, James Malatesta and Théo Rochette also moved the ropes for the Remparts, who signed a fifth victory in a row.
William Rousseau obtained a third victory in a row, after giving up three times in 24 shots in front of the net of the Quebec troupe.
Alexandre Doucet scored his 24e and 25e nets of the season, which places him at the top of the QMJHL in this regard. Nathan Bolduc added a goal for Maxime Desruisseaux’s men.
Fernandez finished the game with 32 saves for the Foreurs, who suffered a second consecutive loss.

Sea Dogs 3 – Armada 2 (Prol.)
Cam MacDonald ended the debate in overtime and the Saint-Jean Sea Dogs defeated the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada by a score of 3-2.
Saguenéens 2 – Drakkar 4
Xavier Fortin had two goals and two assists to guide the Baie-Comeau Drakkar to a 4-2 win over the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
Olympiques 2 – Voltigeurs 3 (Fus.)
Luke Woodworth was the only scorer in the shootout and the Drummondville Voltigeurs triumphed 3-2 against the Gatineau Olympiques.
