The main plot of the first week of the Gatineau Olympiques rookie camp should be in net. Unlike last year when her invitation caused a stir, Ève Gascon will not be back at the Olympiques rookie camp, nor even at the main camp which will begin the following week.

Although the team is actively looking for a partner to support Emerik Despatie, this is not a disavowal of the 19-year-old goalkeeper. If Ève Gascon isn’t back in Gatineau at the start of the season, it’s simply because she’s been held up in Calgary where she’s taking part in a camp with the women’s national team.
