(Sherbrooke) Justin Gill scored his 10e goal of the season, picked up two assists and helped the Sherbrooke Phoenix continue their good run by defeating the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 6-2 on Sunday.

Gill, the Courteau circuit’s leading scorer and pointer, blackened the scoresheet in the Phoenix’s first seven games of the 2022-2023 season. He got 16 points in the process.
After goals from teammates Israel Mianscum, Joshua Roy and Anthony Munroe-Boucher, Gill made it 4-0 when his wrist shot beat Olivier Ciarlo in the first half. The goal signaled the end of the match for Ciarlo, who stopped seven shots.
Ehtan Gauthier and Milo Roelens also hit the target for the Phoenix, which went undefeated in regulation time.
Gill, Gauthier and Roy, who play on the same line, all rank among the top 5 scorers in the QMJHL. The Phoenix, which aspires to great honors, sits at the top of the general classification.
Félix Gagnon and Isaac Dufort provided the response for the Drakkar.
Samuel St-Hilaire stopped 15 shots in the win. Taking over from Ciarlo, Olivier Adam made 34 saves.
Armada 2, Sagueneans 6
Three goals conceded with one player less sank the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada, which went down 6-2 against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
The Saguenéens, who also scored a shorthanded goal, signed a first victory this season.
Wildcats 6, Voltigeurs 3
Yoan Loshing had a goal and three assists, Étienne Morin prepared four goals for his team, Maxim Barbashev scored two goals and the Moncton Wildcats beat the Drummondville Voltigeurs 6-3.
