While proclaiming that there would be no full-scale war, Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president would have lacked foresight. Sergei Jirnov, a former KGB agent, tries to clarify things on the Franceinfo 11pm set.
For many people, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky lacked foresight in the days leading up to the start of an attempted Russian invasion of his country. “There was a kind of psychological warfare, he had an obligation not to panic his population. American military intelligence was saying day by day that the attack was going to be the next day […] I don’t think the Ukrainians were surprised by this war”reports Sergei Jirnov, a former KGB agent.
According to this former Russian intelligence service agent, Vladimir Putin did not prepare for war well enough. There should have been, according to him, 400,000 people behind the front to supply the men at the front. “Ultimately Putin would like to take him prisoner because he wants to judge him. Because he will organize a Stalinist show for us as he knows how to organize it with Navalny”.
