(Moscow) The Kremlin on Friday deemed “unacceptable” the comments of American President Joe Biden about his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, described as a “tyrant” and compared to the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas.
“Such rhetoric is hardly suitable for heads of state and is unacceptable for us,” said Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.
“We do not accept such a tone towards the Russian Federation, towards our president,” he added.
The day before, Joe Biden had declared that Hamas and Vladimir Putin represent “different threats”, but have in common a desire to “completely destroy a neighboring democracy”.
“We cannot and will not let terrorists like Hamas and tyrants like Putin win,” he added during a speech during which he also called for new American aid for Ukraine.
