The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Publicis Groupe, Maurice Lévy, was on Wednesday May 11 the guest of the 8:30 am franceinfo. He answered questions from Salhia Brakhlia and Marc Fauvelle.
Businessman, he directed the Publicis group for 30 years and published, in March 2022, a book, open your eyes, published by Fayard. In this book, he argues that the middle classes are the great forgotten of recent years. “These are people whose remuneration varies from 1200 to 3500€ per single person”according to him, and who “dsince the end of the 90s have the feeling that their children will live less well than them”. However, he emphasizes “great optimism” of the youth.
Macron, president of the rich?➡️ “Objectively, no”, assures Maurice Lévy, chairman of the supervisory board of Publicis. “You have to see what the benefit was” of the abolition of the ISF. He does not “believe” in the arrival of Mélenchon at Matignon, whose program is “absurd” pic.twitter.com/Dz98pIXX9N

Asked on franceinfo on the subject of the remuneration of big bosses, including that of Stellantis boss Carlos Tavares, Maurice Lévy said he did not want these salaries to be regulated. “We has a lot of trouble with the bosses’ salary, but we have no problem with the salary of a footballer”pointed out the ex-CEO of Publicis, for whom “no, objectively“, we cannot say that Emmanuel Macron was the president of the rich. “We have to see what the benefit was” of the abolition of the ISF, defended Maurice Lévy, before qualifying as“absurd” the program of La France insoumise.
