(Frankfurt) German sports equipment manufacturer Adidas announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Norwegian Bjørn Gulden, boss of rival Puma, to head the group, which is currently in a bad financial situation.

“Bjørn Gulden is appointed member of the management board and president of Adidas as of 1er January 2023,” according to a statement from the Bavarian firm. The current boss of the brand at the three banks, Kasper Rorsted, whose departure was announced this summer, will leave the company this week and an interim will be organised.
