Publication of two books to (re)discover Alsace by bike

Louis Holder is an Alsatian passionate about cycling and cycling. He is releasing two books at ID l’édition, and before the holidays, I had to tell you about them. Louis has already written 9 guidebooks on Alsace by bike, but he’s not going to stop there. All in the saddle to discover “by bike in Alsace, 34 plain circuits”, which, as its name suggests, offers you 34 routes from north to south of the pleasant plain of Alsace, to be covered in sporty mode, to keep the form, in contemplative mode to appreciate the landscapes, or to visit monuments, taste good dishes, but always…

For each circuit, you will find the unmissable ones, the good restaurants, and the local bike shops. Distance, elevation, generally low, it’s still plain, the general level of difficulty, the type of bike recommended, a car park or a station to get the ride off to a good start. All circuits form a loop, no puzzles, and there are variations offered.

Thanks Schnapps. The topoguide is spiral, perfect for those who want to take it, with a nice map, even digital, because the gpx plot is available, for those who use a bike GPS. The book on walks in Alsace is available for €14 from your favorite bookseller. A little cheaper, the second book at 12€, still at ID l’édition, a book in the same format, it will fit your library well, with 15 thematic bike tours in Strasbourg and around. The description is also the title of the book.

As you have understood, you will crisscross the Eurometropolis on selected routes arranged in a daisy chain around the city, but outside of rush hour. The green belt, the forests of Neuhof, Robertsau, Eschau and its beautiful gardens, the architecture of the city, culinary and natural treasures await you, you who may want to start your walks from the city. Both books are available, we put all the details on the website.
