The parliamentary leader of Québec solidaire made this announcement Sunday in Sherbrooke accompanied by his candidate in the riding of Saint-François, the medical specialist in public health Mélissa Généreux.

“Mental health is a national emergency. […] We will ensure that everyone can have access to public and free mental health care, within a reasonable time. We will not only contribute to resolving the mental health crisis, but we will also contribute to unclogging the health care system. In fact, up to 40% of medical visits to family physicians are related to mental health,” said Mr. Nadeau-Dubois.

In a press briefing, the solidarity leader must explain on Sunday how he will encourage psychologists who work in the private sector to join the public network, among others.
