public establishments organize sessions to attract caregivers

The medical services are trying to attract new candidates, Thursday, May 19. “It’s also up to us to try to motivate them and make them understand that we can still do great things, even in public service”, explains Noémie Kawka, emergency health manager and SMUR. Caregivers, coming from the private sector, are interested in career prospects as well as in salaries which have been upgraded in the public sector. “It’s diverse so it’s very interesting”says Myriam Mafsal, nursing assistant.

“I’ve never worked in the public sector. I only did private work. And after that, it’s also the salary, it’s different from the private sector, so that’s what motivates”, adds Murielle Stubecki, caregiver. At the GHR, Mulhouse Sud Alsace, 150 positions are to be filled, the majority of which are in the care professions. Other recruitment sessions are organized, as well as from service visits to introduce candidates to the hospital.
