The organization has just audited five cities, including this very rapidly growing third-ring municipality.

According to the CMQ report, Saint-Lin-Laurentides obtains a compliance score of 39%. The other cities audited – Beaconsfield, Thetford Mines, Varennes and Saint-Eustache – show compliance rates ranging from 84 to 96%.

The CMQ checked in particular that the calls for tenders of the municipalities had been correctly published, with sufficient information according to the amount of the contract. It also checked whether the cities had, within a reasonable time, disclosed the actual amount spent in relation to each contract.

“The City of Saint-Lin-Laurentides will take the necessary measures to remedy the anomalies observed and it will comply with the recommendation mentioned in the report of the vice-presidency for the audit of the Commission municipale du Québec”, reacted the municipality in a statement included in the CMQ report.
