Ligue 1 does not yet have its TV broadcaster, but it now has its calendar. The calendar for the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 season was revealed on Friday June 21, and reserved a rather lenient start to PSG on the weekend of August 17. The champion will begin the defense of his title in Le Havre, in what will be his second official match following the departure of Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid, after the Champions Trophy a few days earlier in Beijing.

The surprise of last season, Brest, was not so “spared” for its first day with the reception of Olympique de Marseille, who will be keen to recover after a failed exercise in the championship, concluded in the eighth place and without qualification for a European Cup. The other notable matches of the first day will see the Ligue 2 champion, Auxerre, host Nice, while the other highly anticipated promotion, Saint-Etienne, will return to the elite with a big piece and a trip to Monaco.

Other dates will certainly be closely surrounded and scrutinized by supporters. OM will host PSG in the 9e day on October 27 (the dates are subject to change), before a return match in the capital for the 26th day on March 16, 2025. Another historic rivalry in French football, Lyon and Saint-Etienne will reunite on November 10 (11th day) in the den of OL, and April 20 (30th day) in Forez. The northern French derbies between Losc and Lens will take place on October 27 at the Bollaert-Delelis stadium, March 30 in Lille.

The last day will offer some enticing matches, especially if there is suspense at the end of the season: OM-Rennes, Nice-Brest or even Lens-Monaco.
