PSG will set up a training center in Haute-Savoie

The Paris-Saint-Germain football club has chosen to install, by the end of 2023, its third “Academy Pro” in Blonay in the town of Publier (Haute-Savoie) instead of ICEF, a center dedicated to training young talents since 2019.

Will the future stars of PSG come from Haute-Savoie and, more specifically, from the shores of Lake Geneva? The capital’s football club announced this week the opening of a training center, called “Academy Pro Residency”, at the Domaine de Blonay, in the town of Publier, in Haute-Savoie.

This center will take the place, from the start of the 2023-2024 season, of the “International Center of European Football” (ICEF), a place already dedicated to the training of young talents since 2019.

Blonay’s “Academy Pro” is the first of its kind in Europe. Two centers are already open internationally: a first in Miami and a second in Saly, Senegal.

The Blonay campus will have the mission of offering “a high-level curriculum, both academically and athletically, with daily training”according to a press release from PSG.

Opened in 2019, the ICEF Academy has trained over 300 trainees. Every year, young people of more than 23 nationalities parade on the shores of Lake Geneva with the same objective: to start a professional career in football.
