One more episode in the standoff between Paris City Hall and Paris Saint-Germain. Questioned during the inauguration of the Adidas Arena, in the 18th arrondissement of the capital, Sunday February 11, the first deputy mayor of Paris Emmanuel Grégoire assured that PSG will not leave “never the Parc des Princes”.

“We no longer wish to communicate through the press”, had however warned a few seconds earlier Pierre Rabadan, Sports Assistant present at his side. He had stated his desire for rapprochement with the club, as he had hammered home on Sunday noon on France Info, before Emmanuel Grégoire raised his voice.

This declaration follows that of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the president of PSG, who affirmed on Thursday his desire to leave the Parc des Princes, after the refusal of the Paris Council to sell him the stadium. Saturday evening, during the match between PSG and Lille (3-1), numerous banners and chants hostile to Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, were seen in the enclosure.
