PSG: the club condemns “with the greatest firmness” the incidents which occurred before the Nice match

The death of Queen Elisabeth II puts the incidents that took place in Nice on Thursday evening far in the background. But for all that what happened at the Allianz Riviera is still a huge stone in the shoe of French football.

32 people were injured and four hospitalized, including a Parisian supporter, after several hundred fans wearing balaclavas in the colors of the Cologne club left their stands to go to battle with Nice supporters. In these scuffles, several former supporters of PSG the “Supras Auteuil”, dissolved in 2010, “were present. Among them, one was hospitalized in “absolute emergency” after a fall of more than 5 meters between two levels of the stands .

“Paris Saint-Germain condemns in the strongest terms the violence committed during the match between OGC Nice and FC Cologne”, the capital club said in a statement. PSG explains that the “Supras Auteuil group was dissolved by a decree of April 29, 2010”, that its members are “not recognized as supporters of Paris Saint-Germain and that they are prohibited from accessing the Parc des Princes” . “The Club recalls that it only recognizes supporters’ organizations that have signed the agreement on the rights and duties of supporters, with which it exchanges throughout the year to guarantee optimal security conditions within its premises and when traveling by the first team”continued the PSG which _“study the follow-up to be given to the damage caused to its reputation by the actions of the latter”_.

The Supras Auteuil were dissolved in 2010 with the implementation of the “Leproux” plan, a policy to secure the Parc des Princes instituted after the death in March of the same year of a man following clashes between supporters in outside the stadium.
