It is a new act in the sometimes tumultuous relationship between PSG and one of its players. Not just anyone this time. Kylian Mbappe said Thursday, April 6, on his Instagram account “disagree” with a video published by Paris Saint-Germain, the same day, to promote its renewal campaign at the Parc des Princes next season.

The French striker is at the center of this video from communication, while Neymar, Lionel Messi or captain Marquinhos do not appear. He is the only one to speak sitting in the stands of the Parc des Princes, praising in particular the importance of the support of the supporters.

Kylian Mbappé's very clear message, posted on his Instagram account on April 6, 2023. (@K.MBAPPE / INSTAGRAM)

“At no time was I informed of the content of the interview with my interlocutor, denounced the Parisian striker on his Instagram post. I disagree with this posted video. That’s why I fight for individual image rights. PSG is a big club and a big family, but it is certainly not Kylian Saint-Germain.” The French international thus takes up with perfidy the slogan of this campaign “Grand Paris, big family”.

The promising Parisian “Titis” Warren Zaire-Emery, Ismaël Gharbi and Ilyes Housni as well as the Portuguese international Nuno Mendes are the only other players to appear in the clip, as well as the stadium gardener.

The former Monegasque was already on the front line on the subject of image rights. He had already expressed his dissatisfaction with the France team last September, refusing to participate in a photo shoot because of a dispute with the FFF. A position which had led the Federation to engage in discussions with the players to review the agreement which administers this sector.
