PSG announces its first recruit. At the end of his contract with Inter Milan, of which he was captain before injuring his back for a long time and refusing an extension, the Slovak defender Milan Skriniar chose to join the champion of France, Thursday July 6. It was via a series of tweets and a press release that Paris Saint-Germain formalized its first summer recruit and the Luis Enrique era.

Aged 28, he has 60 caps with the Slovakia team. In the pipes since January, this coming is supposed to strengthen a Parisian defense which has often proved fragile last year. With the departure of Sergio Ramos and the long-term injury of Presnel Kimpembe, victim of a ruptured Achilles tendon at the end of February, it is a sector under reconstruction in which the international arrives. “I am very happy to be part of this wonderful club. PSG are one of the strongest clubs in the world with world-class players and fantastic supporters”he reacted in the press release.

The defender, trained in FK Žiar nad Hronom, has signed a five-season lease, coming out of a seven-and-a-half-year Italian interlude, shared between Sampdoria and Inter Milan. If he has established himself as one of the best defenders in Serie A and even in the world, he arrives today in the capital with big doubts surrounding his physical abilities. He has only played 10 games in 2023.
