Two FC Barcelona supporters were arrested after the match and an investigation opened for glorifying war crimes and racist public insults.

PSG in turn filed a complaint after accusations of Nazi salutes and monkey cries on Wednesday April 10 during the match at the Parc des Princes between the Parisian club and FC Barcelona in the Champions League, France Bleu Paris learned on Thursday April 11 from of the club. These complaints are therefore in addition to those filed by the two associations SOS Racisme and Sportitude.
According to Hermann Ebongue, who heads the Sportitude association, “a first complaint from PSG is filed for ‘apology of war crimes’, another for ‘public insult of a racist nature’ and a last filed against X”, because other supporters are being identified, also suspected of the same acts. This is what he announced this Thursday evening on France Bleu Paris. Information then confirmed by the club to France Bleu.
As a reminder, after the broadcast of a video on social networks, two people were arrested Wednesday evening for “apology for war crimes and public racist insult” at the Parc des Princes, according to the Paris police headquarters. On X, the prefecture actually shared this message: “As part of the PSG-FC Barcelona football match, two arrests were made”above a video showing the actions denounced and indicating that they were “FC Barcelona supporters present at the Parc des Princes seen making monkey cries and Nazi salutes”.
In a press release, SOS Racisme et Sportitude welcomed the “rapid reaction from the Paris police headquarters and the opening of an investigation for apologizing for war crimes and public insult of a racist nature”. The two associations said they were “expecting a strong reaction from UEFA” and announced that they would form “civil party against the perpetrators of these acts”.
